	Here is Marivic and her aunt Norma. Marivic’s mother Jovita in the back. This is Jovita’s home in the south of Luzon. A beautiful little village up in the mountains in Quezon province.


	Inside one of Nanai Jovita’s houses. She has two of them. Nanay means mother. This is aunt Norma cleaning. Her daughter Jennifer (back) and Jillian, my niece.


	This is the Taal volcano which is situated smack in the middle of Lake Taal. It is still active, but no eruptions since 1977. From december 2009.

The Taal volcano has claimed around 5-6000 lives. It has had several violent eruptions, the latest in 1968, 1969 and 1977. It has also been a bit restless since the 1990’s. Lake Taal lies in a beautiful area around 50 km south of Manila, and is a very popular tourist spot in the Philippines.
